My father and grandfather were both in the building trade and on leaving school I started to work for my fathers firm. I did an apprenticeship in carpentry and joinery and then started work full time for him.

My brother followed the same path as me and during the mid eighties we worked together on many different contracts.

Our dad decided to retire in the late eighties and so my brother and I set up on our own.

The recession hit us and we both worked as managers for a local firm running contracts of up to half a million pounds.

We decided that a change in direction was needed and are now working on our own again.

We feel that the expertise that we can offer, having worked in the industry for over 25 years set us in good stead for our own venture and to date we both have a steady flow of work.
